Job summary

Boots UK is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals in-store. You will learn the NVQ2 dispenser programme while dispensing prescriptions and advising patients on medicines, all within the UK store environment.

Full training is provided, and there is no prior experience required. The role is in-store only, with a focus on patient care and safe, compliant dispensing practices.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in your store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Stay up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and promote adherence.
