Job summary

Boots UK is looking for a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services while you train for the NVQ2 Dispenser qualification.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. You will learn prescription dispensing, patient advice, and SOPs, with career progression opportunities within Boots as you gain experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme.
Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
Keep up to date with new store technologies and operational processes.
Support patients in managing repeats and adherence to medicines.
