A leading optician retailer in the UK seeks a Trainee Dispenser to support pharmacy operations and undertake NVQ2 training. Strong customer service skills and a desire to learn are essential as you dispense prescriptions and assist healthcare professionals in-store. This role provides a pathway for career development and is integral to patient care, offering training and ongoing support in a dynamic environment.
The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role. No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.
As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team as you support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals in your store to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will be based in the store healthcare department while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2). You will build strong relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and providing medicines advice to support informed health choices. This is a role based in-store in the UK; remote applicants and candidates outside the UK will not be considered unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.
Working with evolving technologies within store, you will have the opportunity to work with new systems to develop dispensing processes for improved patient safety and to allow more time with patients. You will receive regular updates and training to develop your healthcare knowledge, plus career development options including potential to train as a Pharmacy Technician or as part of the store leadership team.
