Job summary

Arriva TrainCare is hiring a Trainee Bus Driver at the Darlington depot. You will begin your journey with full paid training to obtain your PCV licence and work under a mentor after initial training. The role includes a rotating shift pattern with early mornings and late evenings to cover a 5-day week and weekends on a rota.

The package includes training, ongoing CPC, 28 days annual leave rising to 33, onsite gym, and career development opportunities within Arriva.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have been driving for a minimum of 6 months.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Will need to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Will need to pass an English comprehension test.

Responsibilities

• Drive customers to their destinations safely and on time.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to passengers.
• Complete training to obtain PCV licence and ongoing CPC training.
• Work within a rotating shift pattern with early starts and late finishes.
