Job summary

Arriva Group in Darlington is seeking a Trainee Bus Driver to begin a rewarding career in public transport. You will train to obtain your PCV licence at the Arriva Training School, then work with a mentor as you serve local commuters and students, sharing smiles and reliability on a rotating shift.

This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and progression within a community-focused company that values its drivers and customers alike.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have been driving for a minimum of 6 months.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Will need undergo a drug and alcohol test before your assessment.
• Will need to pass an English comprehension test.
• Shifts will start as early as 4 AM and may finish no later than 1 AM.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses on rotating shifts with 5 days in 7, with early starts.
• Complete PCV licence training at the Arriva Training School (Stockton depot) and work with a mentor.
• Provide safe, friendly passenger service and maintain good customer relations.
