Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Trailer Technician in Loughborough to maintain, repair and modify a fleet of trailers. You will perform fault analysis, pre-MOT checks and QC tests, presenting trailers for MOTs.

This role follows a Monday to Friday days pattern. The successful candidate will hold City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, with deep knowledge of HGV trailers; a Class 1 licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers.
• Fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Welding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers.
• Provide technical support from fault analysis through to completion.
• Undertake pre-MOT checks and repairs; perform QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.

About your new company

My client is a fleet maintenance company with over 20 depots across the UK. Due to their continued success they are now looking for skilled HGV Trailer Technicians to join their ever growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role

You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to competition.

You will be required to undertake pre MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.

You will be required to do QC tests and presenting trailers for MOT's

The successful HGV Trailer Technician will require

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers
• Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential)
• Be a fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
• Double deck maintenance experience
• Welding experience is desirable
