Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an HGV Trailer Technician in Coatbridge. You will maintain, repair and modify our fleet of HGV trailers, perform pre-MOT checks, and carry out QC tests to prepare trailers for MOTs.

A joining bonus of £1,000 is offered and the salary is £44,000 per year, with Monday to Friday days. Ideal candidates hold City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance, and an HGV Class 1 licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers.
• HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential).
• City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Double deck maintenance experience.
• Welding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to completion.
• Undertake pre MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
• Do QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.

My client is a fleet maintenance company with over 20 depots across the UK. Due to their continued success they are now looking for skilled HGV Trailer Technicians to join their ever growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role

• You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to competition.
• You will be required to undertake pre MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
• You will be required to do QC tests and presenting trailers for MOT's

General Trailer Technician dutiesThe successful HGV Trailer Technician will require:

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers
• Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential)
• Be a fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
• Double deck maintenance experience
