Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an HGV Trailer Technician in Knottingley. You will maintain, repair and modify a fleet of trailers, conducting fault analysis and ensuring quality from start to finish.

You will perform pre-MOT checks, undertake necessary repairs, and complete QC tests to prepare trailers for MOTs. A City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance is required, with Class 1 licence desirable.

Qualifications

• Experienced with maintenance and repair of HGV trailers.
• HGV Class 1 licence desired but not essential.
• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance.
• Experience with double deck trailers.
• Welding experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and modify fleet of HGV trailers from fault analysis to completion.
• Carry out pre-MOT checks and repairs as required.
• Conduct QC tests and present trailers for MOTs.

About your new company

My client is a fleet maintenance company with over 20 depots across the UK. Due to their continued success they are now looking for skilled HGV Trailer Technicians to join their ever growing team.

About your new HGV Trailer Technician role:

You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to competition.

You will be required to undertake pre MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.

You will be required to do QC tests and presenting trailers for MOT's.

General Trailer Technician duties

The successful HGV Trailer Technician will require:

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles and HGV trailers
• Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but not essential)
• Be a fully qualified HGV Trailer Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
• Double deck maintenance experience
• Welding experience is desirable
