Job summary

Yunex Traffic UK is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to diagnose faults, complete proactive maintenance, and install traffic signal assets on-site. You will perform periodic inspections, electrical testing and work with contractors to ensure safe, timely delivery.

The role requires completing mandatory training, adhering to HERS standards, and participating in an on-call rota to support service delivery.

Qualifications

GCSEs including Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
Experience in Traffic Signals/Highways is preferred but not essential.
NVQ level or equivalent in electrical engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

Attend, diagnose and resolve faults on traffic signal assets and other equipment within TSM scope.
Complete reactive and proactive maintenance tasks to high quality standards.
Perform periodic inspections and electrical testing on assets and highways systems.
Install, replace and set up traffic signal assets and ancillaries on site, solo or in a team.
Submit clear, detailed clearance notes via Fault Management System and digital platforms.
Work with contract management teams on site surveys to aid efficient delivery.
Meet contract requirements, including response and repair times; adhere to schedules.
Maintain HERS qualifications and complete mandatory sector training as required.
Be able to work out of hours, on-call rota, and promote health & safety culture.
