Job summary

Yunex Traffic in the United Kingdom is seeking an entry-level Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support traffic signals, roadside technology, and IP communications systems. You will learn hands-on under experienced engineers, gaining practical experience across maintenance and fault-finding, with a focus on developing into a fully competent Traffic Signal Maintenance Engineer.

The programme includes shadowing, installation and repair work, and exposure to AI camera and next-generation

Qualifications

18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (Desirable).
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Electrotechnical discipline (Desirable).
Desirable Engineering qualifications: Apprenticeship, BTEC, HNC/HND, Degree in Electrical/Maintenance Engineering.

Responsibilities

Shadow experienced engineers and learn all aspects of traffic signal maintenance.
Assist with installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signal and roadside technology assets.
Carry out electrical testing, fault diagnosis and equipment inspections.
Complete cable testing and fault-finding activities.
Assist in setting up and commissioning IP communication systems.
Complete reactive maintenance and planned inspection activities.
Submit accurate job reports and site records.
Develop competence on Yunex and third-party equipment.
Support deployment and maintenance of new technologies including AI cameras, advanced vehicle detection, and pedestrian detection systems.
