Job summary

Yunex Traffic UK is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to diagnose and resolve faults on traffic signal assets under the TSM contract. You will perform reactive and proactive maintenance, carry out inspections, install and set up equipment, and contribute to safe, high-quality service delivery.

Expect on-site work across sites, with an on-call rota and a commitment to health & safety. Relevant NVQ level and HERS registration progress encouraged; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent.
• Traffic Signals/Highways industry experience preferred.
• Reliability and time management to meet responsibilities.
• Initiative, flexibility and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work accurately and cooperatively with the team.
• Commitment to safety culture and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Attend, diagnose and resolve faults on traffic signal assets and related equipment.
• Complete reactive and proactive maintenance tasks to high quality standards.
• Carry out periodic inspections of assets and testing of electrical systems.
• Install, replace and set up traffic signal assets and equipment.
• Complete remedial works after incidents and damage.
• Build positive relationships with customers and on-site contractors.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely; follow risk assessments.
• Submit detailed clearance notes via Fault Management System and other platforms.
• Support site surveys and visits for efficient delivery of works.
• Adhere to contract requirements including response/repair times and schedules.
• Book time under the policy and live booking process.
• Meet HERS occupation requirements and training milestones.
• Occasional out-of-hours work and on-call duties.
• Support health & safety culture and training of team members.
