Job summary
Yunex Traffic is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support critical highway infrastructure, working on traffic signals, roadside tech and smart city solutions. You will join a structured training programme and hands-on learning with experienced engineers to become fully competent.
Based in the Northwest region, you will cover contracts across Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, Cheshire West & Chester, Warrington and Lancashire, contributing to safer, smarter mobility.
Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Desirable)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Electrotechnical (Desirable)
- Relevant engineering qualification such as Apprenticeship, BTEC, HNC/HND, Degree in Electrical or Maintenance Engineering
Responsibilities
- Shadow experienced engineers and learn all aspects of traffic signal maintenance.
- Assist with installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signal and roadside technology assets.
- Carry out electrical testing, fault diagnosis and equipment inspections.
- Complete cable testing and fault-finding activities.
- Assist in setting up and commissioning IP communication systems.
- Complete reactive maintenance and planned inspection activities.
