Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Traffic Marshall for upcoming residential sites in Maidenhead (SL). The role covers 45 hours per week with both long-term and short-term opportunities, offering flexibility to fit your availability and a CIS scheme.

You must hold a valid Traffic Marshall Card. Duties include guiding vehicles, using signals and radios, identifying hazards, following traffic management plans, and helping maintain pedestrian safety and site security.

Qualifications

• Good communication and vigilance on site.

Responsibilities

• Guide vehicles and heavy machinery through designated routes to maintain smooth traffic flow.
• Use hand signals, signs, and radios to communicate with drivers and operators.
• Identify hazards and take action to ensure site safety.
• Follow established traffic management plans for safety and efficiency.
• Prioritise pedestrian safety and ensure safe crossing points.
• Assist with site security and deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain records of traffic flow, incidents and other relevant information.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings on site.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, pedestrians and other workers.
• Report incidents and hazards to the appropriate personnel.

We are currently recruiting Traffic Marshall for a range of upcoming projects in Maidenhead.

We have both long:term and short:term opportunities available, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Job Responsibilities

• Guiding vehicles and heavy machinery through designated routes, ensuring smooth traffic flow.

Using Communication Devices And Signals

• Employing hand signals, signs, and communication devices (like radios) to communicate with drivers and operators.

Identifying And Addressing Hazards

• Monitoring the area for potential hazards, such as obstructions, pedestrians, or unsafe conditions, and taking necessary action.

Implementing Traffic Management Plans

• Following established traffic management plans and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.

Ensuring Pedestrian Safety

• Prioritizing the safety of pedestrians by ensuring they are aware of approaching vehicles and have safe crossing points.

Assisting With Site Security

• Maintaining a presence to deter unauthorized access and address any security concerns.

Maintaining Records

• Keeping records of traffic flow, incidents, and other relevant information.

Assisting with Other On:Site Safety Activities:

• Participating in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and other safety:related activities.

Communicating With Drivers, Pedestrians, And Other Workers

• Ensuring clear and concise communication to maintain safety and efficiency.

Reporting Incidents And Hazards

• Reporting any incidents or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
