Job summary

Go Traffic Management is seeking a proactive Duty Manager/Supervisor to oversee traffic management operations in the Salford area. You will act as the primary client liaison, conduct site surveys, and ensure daily TM packs and resources are in place for smooth execution.

The role requires strong organisational and leadership skills, a background in traffic management, and a willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Organizational skills to prioritise tasks and manage time.
• Ability to maintain accurate records of work undertaken.

• Strong communication to handle issues calmly and effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Previous traffic management experience is essential, including a 12D qualification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure their needs are met with excellence.
• Attend client site visits and conduct thorough site surveys to assess requirements.
• Review and prepare job packs for next day ensuring TM plans are in place.
• Monitor client programs and coordinate with Depot Managers for resource availability.
• Lead program meetings and address requirements and updates.
• Oversee operatives and subcontractors to maintain high standards on-site.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and follow up on missing documents.
• Conduct monthly site audits to identify improvements and celebrate successes.
• Provide 24/7 call-out support and handovers to night/weekend supervisors.
• Deliver compliance briefs and contribute to monthly team updates.
• Collaborate with regional and depot managers to recruit and train staff.
• Lead weekly operations meetings with updates on client works.
• Address site queries and assist TM operatives with issues.
• Work with CAD team to verify drawings and support client requests.
• Liaise with depot operatives and managers regarding equipment needs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for seamless project execution.
• Provide out-of-hours support as a Duty Manager/Supervisor on a rota basis.
• Organise daily handovers to the night shift.
