Biffa is seeking a Traffic Dispatcher / Transport Administrator to organise depot operations, allocate vehicles, and ensure top-class service delivery with health & safety and O-licence compliance. The role covers hands-on routing, driver scheduling, vehicle checks, and admin duties in a dynamic environment.

You will engage in problem-solving, depot data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost control on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local area and depot operations.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
• Solutions-driven mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused and able to support a diverse client base.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Optimising routes and vehicle utilisation to deliver top-class service.
• Managing driver availability and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Overseeing vehicle checks, safety and maintenance.
• Handling payroll, timesheets, tachograph records and reporting.
• Driving cost-efficiency by analysing depot data and improving operations.
