Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Traffic Control Systems Engineer to join our UK ITI team from either Epsom or Bristol, with hybrid working. You will design Traffic Signal Installations in 2D/3D using AutoCAD, prepare calculations and drawings, and support surveys, installation and commissioning across UK and overseas projects.

You will work with senior staff to report progress, write technical notes and client deliverables, and develop your career toward Chartership while gaining exposure

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and seek out new opportunities.
• Interested in pursuing a career in engineering.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Knowledge of design processes and best practice for traffic signals/highways design and operation.

Responsibilities

• Design Traffic Signal Installations in 2D and 3D using AutoCAD.
• Provide solutions to design problems.
• Prepare engineering calculations and drawings.
• Site surveys to support installation and optimisation.
• Test and commission equipment.
• Support project administration.
• Write technical notes and client deliverables.
• Report progress with senior staff.
