Job summary

B&Q is seeking a commercially driven Trade Business Development Manager for the St Helens location. You will own and grow a defined TradePoint member portfolio, proactively generating demand and building long-term trade relationships to deliver sales and margin growth.

You will use market insight and a disciplined approach to manage a structured pipeline, convert opportunities, and drive repeat project spend while upholding safety and compliance. A full driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in growing sales and managing customer portfolios.
• Experience selling to trade customers and managing projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with focus on margin and KPI delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined book of TradePoint members with accountability for sales and margin.
• Generate high-quality leads weekly through networking and market insight.
• Build and manage a structured sales pipeline from lead to outcome.
• Drive repeat project spend and develop long-term customer relationships.
• Make pricing and discount decisions that balance conversion with margin.
