B&Q Longwell Green Bristol is hiring a Trade Business Development Manager to own and grow a portfolio of TradePoint members, driving revenue and margins. You will generate demand, manage a structured sales pipeline and build long-term customer relationships using data and market insights.

You will balance pricing decisions with margin targets, work cross-functionally, and play a key role in delivering sustainable store performance through proactive trade engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of driving sales growth within Trade/Point of Sale environments.
• Understanding of trade customers and project-based selling.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including margin awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined book of trade members, with accountability for sales, margin and repeat spend.
• Proactively generate high-quality leads weekly through local networking, referrals and market insight.
• Build, manage and convert a structured pipeline from lead to outcome with clear follow-up routines.
• Drive repeat project spend, converting one-off transactions into long-term customer relationships.
• Make commercially sound decisions on pricing and discounting, balancing conversion with margin delivery.
• Use data and insight to prioritise highest-value opportunities.
• Identify and pursue high-potential trade customers, owning relationships end-to-end in partnership with B2B.
