Job summary

GAP Ltd. in Colwyn Bay is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant/Driver to support daily trade counter operations and deliveries. You will assist customers in person and by phone, manage stock and orders, and ensure safe, timely transportation of goods.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Strong customer service and clear verbal communication.
• Basic numeracy for cash handling and stock counts.
• Proficient with basic IT systems, email and stock control/POS software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.
• Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently and in a small team.
• Physically able to lift and carry heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Serve trade and retail customers at the trade counter, processing sales and checking stock.
• Receive and unpack deliveries, label and store stock, rotate inventory.
• Prepare customer orders and pick lists for collection and delivery.
• Carry out local deliveries and collections using company vehicles; load/unload goods.
• Operate POS systems and process cash, card, and account transactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe counter and yard area and waste disposal.
• Support stocktakes and cycle counts, report discrepancies.
• Provide phone/email support for enquiries and order tracking.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and vehicle checks.
