Job summary

RSD Recruitment Ltd on behalf of our client is hiring an Electrical Trade Counter Assistant for their busy New Southgate branch. This is a customer-facing role dealing with electricians and trade customers, requiring knowledge of electrical products and good service skills.

You will serve customers on the trade counter, process sales, check stock, assist with warehouse fulfilment and support promotions and branch duties, with a strong focus on health and safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience on an electrical trade counter or within an electrical wholesaler.
• Good knowledge of electrical products, materials and components.
• Confident dealing with trade customers.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using basic IT systems.
• Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team.

Trade Counter Assistant RSD Recruitment are working on behalf of our client to recruit an Electrical Trade Counter Assistant for their busy New Southgate branch. This is a customer-facing role within a builders merchant, dealing directly with electricians and trade customers. Previous electrical trade counter or electrical wholesaler experience is essential - you'll need a good understanding of electrical products and the ability to confidently assist customers.

The Role

• Serve customers across the trade counter, providing advice and support on electrical products
• Process sales, orders, returns and special product requests
• Check stock levels and help keep the trade counter organised and well presented
• Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are picked and fulfilled correctly
• Support with product promotions and general branch duties
• Follow company health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working on an electrical trade counter or within an electrical wholesaler
• Good knowledge of electrical products, materials and components
• Confident dealing with trade customers
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable using basic IT systems
• Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team

Hours & Benefits

• 6:00am-3:00pm or 8:15am-5:15pm
• Every other Saturday
• Some bank holiday work required, paid at double time
