Job summary

Bassetts in Dungannon is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant to assist customers at the trade counter, offer product recommendations, and drive sales growth. The role involves handling phone and email inquiries with a proactive customer-service mindset and supporting in warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, and stock put-away.

You'll contribute to a busy branch environment, leveraging prior trade counter or plumbing industry exposure.

Qualifications

• Plumbing Industry experience is preferential.
• Experience of working in a busy trade counter environment.
• Proven experience in Face to Face sales and customer service.
• Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product advice and recommendations.
• Proactively engaging with both new and existing customers to maximise sales opportunities and build strong customer relationships.
• Handling customer phone calls and emails with a positive and proactive approach, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse which will involve manual handling heavy stock i.e. toilets, sinks, boilers & radiators

As a Trade Counter Assistant based in Dungannon, you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product advice and recommendations

This is a full-time, permanent, role working 42.50 hours per week Monday - Wednesday 07.30am - 5.00pm, Thursday 07.30am - 8.00pm (on a rota basis), Friday 07.30am - 4.00pm.
