Job summary

Bassetts, part of the Wolseley Group, is looking for a Sales Assistant to join the Clady branch (BT44 8LD). You will assist customers on the trade counter, offer product advice, and manage calls and emails with a proactive, friendly approach.

This full-time role involves warehouse duties, order picking/packing, and coordinating deliveries. It offers a competitive salary plus bonus and enhanced benefits.

Qualifications

• Industry or merchant experience is advantageous.
• Proven experience of dealing with customer sales on a face to face basis.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product advice and recommendations.
• Proactively engaging with both new and existing customers to maximise sales opportunities and build strong customer relationships.
• Handling customer phone calls and emails with a positive and proactive approach, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse.
• Scheduling customer deliveries.

Sales Assistant based in Clady, you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product advice and recommendations

This is a full-time, permanent, role working 42.50 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 07.30am - 4.00pm.
