Job summary

Evotec SE is recruiting a Lab Assistant to join the Toxicology team at Alderley Park, UK. This permanent role is full-time (37.5 hours) with direct reporting to the Associate Principal Scientist and based in Alderley Park, Macclesfield.

You will work in a friendly team performing routine lab tasks and supporting a range of toxicology studies for diverse clients, contributing to high-quality lab work and ongoing development of skills in a dynamic ADME-Tox environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Science, English and Mathematics required.
• Additional science qualifications or lab experience advantageous.
• Experience in a laboratory or structured environment beneficial.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and SOPs.
• Able to organise and prioritise routine tasks to meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day delivery of toxicology studies through routine lab activities and tasks.
• Prepare, label, and store reagents, consumables, compounds and materials per procedures.
• Assist with maintenance of cell cultures and lab materials per SOPs.
• Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, and cleaning.
• Record data and observations accurately in documentation systems and databases.
• Follow safety and quality procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Keep stocks and work areas organised to support efficient lab operations.
• Complete assigned activities to required quality standards within timelines.
• Communicate progress and raise issues to support assay delivery.
