Job summary

Evotec is seeking an Associate Scientist on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join the Permeability & Transporters team at Alderley Park. The role focuses on routine and bespoke assays, data processing, and collaboration within a high-standard laboratory environment.

You will contribute to maintaining lab systems, supporting assay execution, and developing process improvements while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• BSc in life science subject; lab environment experience
• Highly self-motivated and personable
• Able to communicate effectively within a team
• Able to organise daily tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail and safety/regulations
• Proactive problem solving with team support

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and maintain compounds, stocks and buffers.
• Validate and operate laboratory equipment; support assay execution.
• Assist in data analysis and interpretation of results.
• Ensure accurate documentation and clean work areas per SOPs.
• Supervise/mentor trainees when required and maintain professional conduct.
• Support efficiency improvements in assays and processes.
