Job summary

Evotec in Alderley Park is recruiting a Laboratory Assistant for our Toxicology team. You will support day-to-day toxicology studies, assist with routine laboratory activities and maintain clean, compliant workspaces.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with training provided. You will gain hands-on experience in a busy CRO environment, contributing to study delivery and data generation while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Science, English and Mathematics required.
• A-Levels, BTEC or equivalent in science advantageous.
• Previous laboratory experience is beneficial; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day delivery of toxicology studies through routine laboratory activities.
• Prepare, handle, label and store reagents, consumables, compounds and biological materials.
• Support the maintenance of cell cultures and laboratory materials following SOPs.
• Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, cleaning and maintenance.
• Accurately record laboratory data and activities in documentation systems and LIMS where applicable.
• Follow quality, safety and compliance procedures to ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Maintain laboratory stocks, consumables and work areas to support organisation.
• Complete assigned activities to required quality standards and timelines.
• Communicate progress and seek guidance to support assay delivery and team objectives.
