Job summary

Evotec is seeking an Associate Scientist for a 12-month fixed-term contract at Alderley Park. You will support routine and bespoke assays, manage compounds and data, and help maintain laboratory equipment.

This role includes mentoring trainees and contributing to process improvements within the Permeability & Transporters team. Requirements include a BSc in a life science, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and QA

Qualifications

• BSc in life science or equivalent.
• Self-motivated and personable.
• Able to communicate effectively within a team.
• Able to organise daily tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and safe working practices.
• Able to use initiative to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and maintain compounds, stock solutions, buffers, and related materials.
• Validate, maintain and operate laboratory equipment to support assays.
• Support execution of routine and bespoke assays.
• Assist in data analysis and interpretation.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean and compliant with SOPs and QA policies.
• Mentor trainees and support staff as required.
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency gains in assays.
