Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a qualified plastic injection mould toolmaker for a days role in the Ystrad Mynach area. You will manufacture, repair and maintain tooling for production, using CAD/CAM data and CNC equipment.

The position offers a dayshift with opportunities for training and progression, and a benefits package including holiday, pension and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Qualified plastic injection mould toolmaker.
• Experience with CNC/3D CAD/CAM tooling processes.
• Experience in mould tool development for plastics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and modify existing production tooling as required.
• Manufacture new injection mould tools from drawings and CAD data.
• Service and maintain tooling according to schedules.
• Operate toolroom machinery safely and use PPE.
• Suggest tooling/process improvements for productivity.

The position will be a days regular role, providing you the opportunity to get off shift work. Role And Responsibilities

• Repair, modify existing production tooling when required.


• Manufacture new injection mould tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost:effective manner.


• Service and maintain existing production tooling to the service schedules.


• Operate all toolroom plant and machinery safely ensuring necessary protective clothing and equipment is used at all times.


• Suggest any possible improvements to tooling or processes, for assessment by Technical Manager.


• Be proactive in suggesting improvements in productivity and efficiency.


• Good housekeeping.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.


• CNC experience.


• CAD/CAM experience.


• Develop Apprentices within the toolroom.


• Ability to work on Fully hardened steel production tools.


• Experience with Hot runner systems / Valve gates and manifolds.
