Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Toolmaker for a days-based role in Wales, offering a £32-40,000 salary and clear progression opportunities. The role focuses on repair, manufacture and service of injection mould tools, with modern tooling in a plastics environment.

You'll work on fully hardened steel tools, CNC machinery, CAD/CAM data, and be part of a team that values productivity improvements and good housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.
• Experience with hot runner systems / valve gates and manifolds.
• Ability to work on fully hardened steel production tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair, modify existing production tooling when required.
• Manufacture new injection mould tools from drawings and 3D CAD data to a high level of workmanship.
• Service and maintain existing production tooling to service schedules.
• Operate toolroom plant and machinery safely with appropriate clothing and PPE.
• Suggest improvements to tooling or processes for assessment by Technical Manager.
• Be proactive in suggesting improvements in productivity and efficiency.
