Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Toolmaker in Hengoed to join a plastics manufacturing team. You will manufacture and maintain injection mould tooling, working to tight tolerances in a modern facility.

You will read engineering drawings, use CAD/CAM data, and contribute to tooling improvements while mentoring apprentices. The role offers training, development and clear progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified Toolmaker with experience in injection mould tooling.
• CNC machining experience.
• CAD/CAM knowledge.
• Experience working with hardened steel production tools.
• Knowledge of hot runner systems, valve gates and manifolds.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture new injection mould tools from engineering drawings and 3D CAD data.
• Repair, maintain and modify existing production tooling.
• Operate toolroom machinery safely and efficiently.
• Support tooling and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Assist with apprentice development and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
