Job summary

Accept Recruitment are seeking an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker for a leading manufacturer in Rugby. The role involves producing high-precision mould tooling using CAD/CAM, CNC and EDM technologies, and joining a busy toolroom team.

You will interpret 2D/3D designs, write CAM programs for CNC/EDM, assemble and test tools, and maintain metrology checks. The position is dayshift, with a generous benefits package and pension.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in injection mould toolmaking.
• Strong proficiency with CAD/CAM systems (e.g. Delcam, Mastercam, or similar).
• Skilled in EDM processes, including wire and spark erosion.
• Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and 3D models.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with mould tool design and function is desirable.
• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in toolmaking/precision engineering.

Responsibilities

• Interpret 2D and 3D CAD designs to produce accurate tooling components.
• Use CAM software to generate precise machining programs for CNC and EDM equipment.
• Assemble and fit mould tools to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Test and adjust tools to ensure they are dimensionally accurate and functionally sound.
• Operate and maintain EDM machinery, selecting appropriate electrodes and settings.
• Operate manual and CNC milling, turning, and grinding machines to tight tolerances.
• Carry out inspections using micrometers, CMMs, gauges, and other metrology equipment.
• Maintain high-quality standards through rigorous checking and documentation.

Are you a skilled Injection Moulding Toolmaker looking for your next challenge? Our client, a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer of precision mould tooling is looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join their busy toolroom team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Toolmaker to work on high-precision mould tools within a modern, well-equipped toolroom, using the latest CAD/CAM, CNC, and EDM technology.
