STARK Group is seeking a Tool Hire Manager for the Jewson Luton branch to oversee day-to-day tool hire operations, ensuring safe, efficient service and growth through proactive customer interaction.

You will lead a small tool hire team, provide guidance, and drive accuracy in orders, loading, and inventory management, all while maintaining high standards of customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in tool hire is preferred but not essential.
• Effective supervision of the branch tool hire team in support of Branch Manager.
• Active contribution to Tool hire growth & profitability through cross-selling/upselling.

Jewsona leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Tool Hire Manager to join the team in our Luton branch, who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7:30am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 8am-12pm

Location: Jewson, 226 Dallow Rd, Luton, LU1 1YB.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resource to ensure efficient, effective and safe operations.
• Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro-active cross selling.
• Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members, assisting in their development and supporting them to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
• Deliver and collect customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring orders are accurate and all equipment is secured and loaded/offloaded safely in accordance with company procedures.
• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge and competence in tool hire product.
• Ensure tool hire standards are always maintained.
• Ensure inventory and availability levels are appropriate to meet customer needs, collaborating across the local network.
