Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites applications for a Tool Hire Assistant at the Henley-on-Thames branch. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with early starts and every other Saturday morning, and involves driving a 3.5-tonne van to deliver and collect orders.

You will support daily tool hire activities, interact with customers, and help maintain safe, accurate equipment loading and inventory across the branch network.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including Saturdays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities and support safe operations.
• Build relationships with customers and support growth through cross-selling.
• Provide guidance to colleagues and assist in their development.
• Deliver and collect orders accurately, secure equipment safely, and load/unload as required.
• Maintain tool hire standards and inventory to meet customer needs.
