Job summary

St Mary & St Joseph Catholic Primary School - a Catholic voluntary academy is seeking an Early Childhood Educator for its 2-year-old provision. The role focuses on high-quality care and education tailored to toddlers, supporting independence, communication, and social skills within a safe, stimulating EYFS-based environment.

The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week during term time plus 2 additional days, from 8:15am to 4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, delivering planned

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Experience supporting 2-year-olds in a nursery setting.
• Ability to promote safeguarding and wellbeing of children.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key person to a small group of 2-year-olds, building relationships with children and families.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate play and learning activities linked to EYFS.
• Conduct 2-year progress checks in partnership with parents.
• Support toddlers with personal care routines and healthy mealtime practices.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and safeguarding.
