Job summary

Our Lady & St Paul’s RC Primary School, a Voluntary Academy, is seeking an Early Years Specialist Teaching Assistant – Level 2 to join the school and Trust on a journey of transition and growth within the multi-academy trust.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years class teacher and wider Early Years team to support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Assist with the delivery of high-quality learning experiences through adult-led activities and purposeful play.
• Work with individuals and small groups to support development in communication, language, early literacy and mathematics, physical development, independence, confidence and personal, social and emotional skills.
• Help with the preparation and organisation of the learning environment, observations and assessment of children’s progress.
• Provide appropriate interventions and individual support where required.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
