Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Dedicated Logistics Specialist in the UK to provide high-level customer service and operations support for key accounts in freight forwarding. You will manage routing, deadlines and quotes while communicating proactively on shipments and delays.

You will monitor performance, collaborate on improvements, and uphold SOPs/COPs to strengthen customer relationships and ensure on-time delivery of time-critical consignments.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Aviation industry and time-critical shipments using all available services.
• Excellent knowledge of international and domestic airline routings, geography and time zones.
• Extensive customer service experience required.
• Demonstrate efficient risk assessment, problem analysis and problem resolution capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance customer services by ensuring procedures are followed.
• Take job orders from the customer, including routing, service type, deadlines, upgrades and quotes.
• Provide clients with continuous notification and follow-up (flights, customs delays, charges, resolutions).
• Monitor shipments and report delays with options to reduce impact on customers.
• Control monthly performance, monitor volume and take corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Collaborate with Business Development to tailor customer instructions and drive improvements.
• Maintain SOPs and COPs as required.
• Work strategically with the key customer to ensure aligned expectations.
• Drive proactive improvements to enhance customer loyalty and experience.
