Job summary

Tilbury Pioneer Academy is seeking a Midday Assistant to support the lunch period, supervising pupils and ensuring safety in line with school policy. This role is part-time, 7.5 hours per week, term-time only, permanent contract.

You'll help promote positive play, foster good relationships among pupils, and may undertake basic first aid; training can be provided. The post is part of the Gateway Learning Community in Tilbury and offers benefits under the GLC scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising pupils during lunch period.
• First aid certificate desirable but training can be provided.

Salary: GLC Point 10 £24,733 FTE [Actual Pro Rata Salary £4,299]

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Part Time 7.5 hours per week, Term time only

We are seeking to appoint a lunchtime assistant as part of our midday team to effectively supervise pupils during the lunch period, providing a continuous presence to ensure the safety, welfare and conduct of pupils in accordance with school policy.

We are looking for someone:

• To be responsible for promoting positive play experiences and opportunities for the children during the lunchtime break
• To encourage, support and foster positive relationships between children by providing positive and active play experiences and opportunities
• To administer first aid (A first aid certificate is desirable but training can be provided)
