Job summary

Holt Engineering in Downton seeks an experienced TIG Welder to join its aerospace manufacturing team. You will weld aerospace components from engineering drawings, working with stainless steel, aluminium, Inconel and titanium to exacting standards.

The role offers a permanent contract, a 38-hour week with a 4-day working pattern, overtime at 1.5x when available, and on-site parking plus health cover and life insurance. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous TIG welding experience.
• Experience with feed wire TIG welding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience welding stainless steel, aluminium, Inconel or titanium.
• Aerospace/precision engineering background preferred.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced TIG Welder who is comfortable working with thin materials and producing clean, accurate welds?

This is a permanent opportunity with an aerospace manufacturer in Downton, working on precision components and specialist materials including stainless steel, aluminium, Inconel and titanium.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with previous TIG welding experience, ideally from an aerospace or similarly precise engineering environment.

You'll need:

• Previous experience as a TIG Welder
• Experience with feed wire TIG welding
• Experience using a turntable
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience welding materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, Inconel or titanium
• Comfortable working to tight tolerances and quality requirementsAerospace welding certifications/codes would be ideal but aren't essential.
