Job summary

Indigo is seeking a Tier 1 NOC Engineer for its Newcastle office. This 2-year programme combines on-the-job technical and soft skills training, mentoring and coaching, with six-month salary reviews.

You'll monitor alarms, manage incidents, and coordinate resources to resolve service issues within SLAs in a 24x7 environment. Ideal candidates are customer-focused, organized and eager to grow a career in network operations within a supportive, structured setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Logical and analytical problem-solving.
• Interest in networking and technology, with willingness to learn.
• Self-motivated, reliable, proactive.
• Good PC literacy including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage network, system, and site alarms, diagnosing and escalating as needed.
• Handle customer contacts, incidents, service requests and access requests to resolution.
• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, service partners and field engineers to restore service and meet SLAs.
• Identify and elevate service-impacting incidents, keeping stakeholders informed throughout ticket lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records and knowledge articles; contribute to shift handovers and improvements.
• Adhere to NOC procedures, KPIs and safety requirements, taking on additional duties as required.
