Third Line Desktop Support Engineer, Lincoln

Serco is currently recruiting for a Desktop Lifecycle Specialist to join our team in Lincoln County Council. The role focuses on End User Desktop/Mobile and Cloud technologies.

You will handle all aspects of the desktop lifecycle within BAU and report to the Tech Services Team Leader.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide technical expertise to internal customers.
• Troubleshoot and remediate issues with MEM/MEMC within SLAs.
• Implement and configure technology solutions aligned with design, security, and operational goals, collaborating with project teams for smooth transition into service.
• Serve as subject matter expert for MEM/MECM (Intune / SCCM).
• Guide and mentor operational teams.
• Maintain currency in relevant technology skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience with configuration of Cloud (MEM) and Windows solutions (Autopilot, Configuration Profiles, etc.).
• Provide specialist knowledge to BAU teams.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• ITIL knowledge is preferable.
• Ability to generate and present technical reports.
• Knowledge of MS Defender is preferable.
• Key Technologies: Conditional Access, Configuration Profiles, PowerShell.
