Therapy Assistant – Transfer to Assess Team (Fixed Term until 06.04.26)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to work 7.5 hours a day across a 5‑day week to cover maternity leave in our Transfer to Assess Team. The post holder will support Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists in providing treatment and rehabilitation interventions to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists in delivering treatment programs to patients.
  • Provide treatment and rehabilitation interventions as directed.
  • Carry out clerical and administrative tasks, including computer work.
  • Perform housekeeping duties within the team.
  • Work effectively without direct supervision and take responsibility for delegated duties.
  • Manage physically demanding aspects of the role.
Qualifications
  • Good standard of general education including maths and English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Recent and relevant experience in a health care setting (essential).
  • Excellent communication skills and awareness of patients' needs.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and able to show initiative.
  • Capability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
