Job summary
The Witherslack Group is seeking a Therapies Assistant to support the Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist on-site. You will help run one-to-one and small group interventions and gather information for high quality assessments, while liaising with parents, carers, colleagues and partner agencies to support the best outcomes for children and young people.
Working within our living and learning environments, you will benefit from supervision, a clinical development programme
Qualifications
- GCSEs including English and at least five GCSEs total.
- Experience with children and young people with SEMH and/or SEN.
- Understanding of safeguarding rules and practice.
- Team player with a proactive, hands-on attitude.
- Honesty, empathy and resilience in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Support one-to-one and small group interventions under supervision.
- Gather information for high quality assessments.
- Liaise with parents, carers, colleagues and partner agencies.
- Work as part of the team around the child to support best outcomes.
