Job summary

The Witherslack Group is seeking a Therapies Assistant to support Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy services within Wakefield. You will assist in 1:1 and small group interventions and help with data collection for assessments, while collaborating with parents, carers and partner agencies to create the best environment for children and young people.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, receive supervision and access to ongoing clinical development.

Qualifications

• At least 5 GCSEs including English.
• Experience with children and young people with SEMH and/or SEN.
• Good understanding of safeguarding rules and practice.
• A 'can do' attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.

Responsibilities

• Support one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Gather information for high-quality assessments.
• Liaise with parents, carers, colleagues and partner agencies to support outcomes.
• Embed within living and learning environments to support the children and young people.
