Job summary

Compass Community Schools is seeking teaching assistants to support learners with SEMH and SEND needs. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, assist with resources, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Training and supervision are provided, with opportunities for professional development. As part of a trauma-informed team, you will engage with pupils exhibiting challenging behaviours and contribute to therapeutic training sessions and school-wide safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning
• Work with children 1:1 or in small groups
• Manage classroom resources
• Take children on educational trips
• Have a good basic understanding of English and Maths
• Keep children safe with strong behaviour management and excellent communication
