Job summary

Esland is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for our The Willows, Lutterworth children’s home. You will lead the Assessments Team, provide strong leadership, and ensure high standards of care and safety for 7–18-year-olds in a therapeutic, supportive environment.

The role offers a clear progression path, paid induction training, and a warm company culture focused on wellbeing and outdoor activities. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is required, along with robust Ofsted

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential care home (within the last 5 years).
• At least 1 year in a role requiring supervision and management of staff.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Candidates must be over the age of 21.
• A keen interest in the outdoors; activities qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Assessments Team in daily operations.
• Ensure high-quality care and therapeutic interventions for 7–18-year-olds.
• Oversee staff supervision and shift management.
• Promote educational access and participation in outdoor activities.
