Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Registered ODP.
• Must be willing to undertake relevant post registration courses as advised by the Practice Educators/ Theatre Team Leaders.

Responsibilities

• Receive, transfer and position patients for clinical procedure.
• Prepare Theatre for surgery and prepare sterile equipment/supplies; minimize waste.
• Prepare, use safely, decontaminate and report faulty equipment.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Be flexible to work in any Theatre area as service needs require.
• Work on-call and out of hours to provide emergency access for acutely ill patients.
