Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Registered Practitioner - Anaesthetics to join the theatre team. The role supports the anaesthetist and peri-operative pathway, with opportunities to work across theatres and sites, including QEII.

The position requires flexible working across a 24/7 rota and collaboration with the broader theatre team to ensure patient safety and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Registered ODP.
• Willing to undertake post-registration courses as advised by TheatreTeam Leaders.
• Desirable: ILS/ALS, PILS, CPD, mentorship training.

Responsibilities

• Receive, transfer and position patients for clinical procedures.
• Prepare Theatre for surgery and sterile equipment; minimise waste.
• Prepare, use, decontaminate and report faulty equipment; work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Be available for on-call and out-of-hours work across Theatre areas to support emergency access.
