Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an administrator to manage the Theatre Management System (Galaxy) and provide frontline IT support to the Theatre team. You will liaise with suppliers, configure reports, and ensure data quality for daily operations and audits.

This role includes training staff, building sessions, and supporting the Trust-wide reporting needs, with a focus on reliability and fit-for-purpose IT development in the theatre environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with IT systems.
• Evidence of good literacy/English language skills.
• Good communication skills via telephone, email, face to face and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Galaxy to keep the system operational.
• Act as first point of contact for Galaxy with theatre teams and service managers.
• Provide frontline support and training to staff on all aspects of Galaxy.
• Produce daily/weekly theatre reports and ensure data quality and audit controls.
