Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Theatre System Administrator to manage the Galaxy Theatre Management System, ensuring it runs smoothly and is fit for purpose. You will liaise with software suppliers, implement system changes, and provide admin support to the Theatre team.

You will train staff, manage daily/ monthly reports, and tailor Galaxy to Trust requirements while maintaining data quality and audit controls. This is a fixed-term role requiring strong IT and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Trained to a vocational level 3 standard, or equivalent relevant experience
• Previous experience working with IT systems
• Knowledge of the Galaxy system

Responsibilities

• Admin support to Theatre team and manage Galaxy usage
• Set up daily/monthly theatre reports and customise Galaxy to local Trust requirements
• Provide staff training on Galaxy and frontline support for theatre staff
• Produce daily validation of reports and ensure data quality and audit trails
• Run daily/weekly theatre performance reports and support system development as needed
