Job summary

Spire Cheshire Hospital in Warrington is recruiting a part-time Theatre Administrator to support the Theatre Department with administrative and customer service duties. The role includes handling enquiries by phone, email and in person, maintaining theatre schedules and lists, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Transferring all patient booking details to the theatre Outlook calendars and highlighting any potential issues with booking requests to the Theatre Manager or Theatre Management team.
  • Taking a proactive role in ensuring compliance with short-notice booking processes.
  • Managing changes to theatre list orders within SAP and the relevant calendars.
  • Coordinating and printing theatre lists for the following day at the appropriate time.
  • Managing changes to theatre lists, printing updated versions and sharing these with the relevant teams and departments.
  • Providing full administrative support to the Theatre Management team when updating and implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Processing all charge sheet updates, including codes, procedure times, specimen information and other required post-surgery checks.
  • Answering telephone calls, responding to queries and passing messages to the Theatre Manager or relevant theatre colleagues.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records in accordance with GDPR requirements and hospital policies.

Theatre Administrator

Spire Cheshire Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Theatre Administration team on a part-time, permanent basis.

In this important role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and customer service support to the Theatre Department. You will act as the first point of contact for enquiries received by telephone, email and in person, ensuring that all queries are handled efficiently and directed to the appropriate person where necessary.

Working hours

You will work 22.5 hours per week on a shift pattern:

Shift patterns are between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, such as 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, or 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Your role

As Theatre Administrator, you will provide an efficient administrative and customer service function within the Theatre Department.

Previous experience of working in a hospital or healthcare environment would be desirable but is not essential.
