Job summary

Sulzer in Leeds is seeking a Test Engineer to lead and manage complex testing programmes for large-scale rotating equipment and pump packages. You will own testing activities from preparation through completion, collaborating with Engineering, Projects and Production to ensure performance and quality before customer delivery.

Qualifications

• HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Plant Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing or rotating equipment environment.
• Experience supervising equipment testing.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• The ability to work independently across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising allocated test activities through to successful completion.
• Leading and coordinating test teams to deliver projects safely, on time and to specification.
• Evaluating test results and communicating findings to Engineering, Projects and Production teams.
• Investigating technical issues, carrying out fault diagnosis and supporting root cause analysis.
• Supporting the design and development of test rigs and testing processes.
• Monitoring equipment reliability and performance to maximise operational effectiveness.
• Participating in project and assembly review meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance.
